A fire that broke out today (June 25), shortly after 3:30 p.m., in the area of Orchomenos, Boeotia.
According to statement from the fire department to combat the fire, significant ground and aerial forces of the Fire Department were immediately mobilized.
Specifically, 36 firefighters are on the scene with two ground teams from the 4th EMODE and 13 fire trucks, while four aircraft and two helicopters are providing aerial support. Water tankers from local authorities are also assisting in the firefighting operation.
Throughout the incident, ESKEDIK is monitoring the progress of the fire in real time, receiving continuous footage via a drone equipped with visual and thermal cameras.
So far, the fire does not pose a threat to residential areas. Meanwhile, the Boeotia Arson Crimes Response Team has arrived on the scene to investigate the causes of the fire.
