Large-scale police operation operation took place on the morning of June 25 in neighborhoods of Aspropyrgos, with the aim of preventing and combating illegal activities that are systematically reported in the area.
The operation was organized by the Western Attica Police Directorate , and involved forces from the OPKE, the DI.AS. Unit, the Traffic Police, the Western Attica Criminal Investigation Division, as well as a drone and a police dog.
As part of the inspections s, six individuals were arrested, against whom charges were filed for electricity theft and violations of the Highway Code.
At the same time, 36 violations were confirmed for driving without a license, failure to wear a seatbelt, lack of a vehicle inspection certificate, and other violations, while 3 vehicle registration certificates and 14 driver’s licenses were revoked.
During searches of residences, two high-powered speakers and a hunting carbine were seized.
Particular emphasis was placed on electricity theft. Crews from HEDNO removed 2,657 meters of cables used for illegal connections, while 28 cases of electricity theft were identified in residential properties.
The case file has been forwarded to the competent prosecutor’s office.
