The trial regarding the death of 17-year-old Angelos, on the eve of Epiphany in 2026 in Serres.
As reported by ERT, the prosecutor has requested a guilty verdict for the defendant on the charge of intentional homicide, under Article 299 of the Penal Code.
It should be noted that the lawyers’ closing arguments have already begun, and the court’s decision will follow.
As a reminder, on Friday (June 26), the second day of the trial before the Three-Member Juvenile Court, the hearing was a marathon session, as it began at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
Murder of 17-year-old Angelos: What the 16-year-old perpetrator claimed
In his defense, the 16-year-old admitted that he struck Angelos but, as he said, his blows were not of a nature to cause death. “I wanted to hit him, but not to kill him,” the 16-year-old reportedly said.
