By decision of the Deputy Regional Governor of the Regional Unit of Chalkidiki, Aikaterini Zografou, traffic is prohibited today from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the movement of pedestrians and vehicles in specific forest areas, due to the increased risk of forest forest fire.
On the Kassandra Peninsula, the ban applies to the area “Koryfogramma” between Kassandrino and Agia Paraskevi, as well as the areas “Arapis” and “Chalkovouni” in Paliouri.
In Sithonia, the measure applies to the Dragoundeli Ridge, from the Beekeeping Cooperative to Sykia.
In the municipality of Aristotelis, the ban covers the route from Komitsa to Ouranoupoli, as well as the areas of Tsamia Stratoniki, Fysoka and Stratoni Shooting Range.

To enforce this measure, the relevant authorities will be on alert, conducting inspections at the entry points of forest roads.
At the same time, provisions have been made for the evacuation of those in the specific areas. An exception applies only to members of volunteer organizations participating in the fire protection efforts of the Regional Unit of Chalkidiki.
