“In jail. And here we are.” With this phrase, singer Vasilis Lekkas updated his online friends, by posting a video from his appearance at the Kassandra Agricultural Correctional Facility.
The well-known singer participated as a guest at the 5th Amateur Festival of the SAEK of Kassandra, dedicated to World Music Day.
Accompanied on the piano by Yiannis Filippopolitis, he sang for the inmates at an event that highlighted the essential role of music, education, and culture as means of communication, expression, and social reintegration.
His presence was one of the highlights of the festival, which took place with the participation of inmates, instructors, correctional officers, local government representatives, and visitors.
