According to the United Nations, the number of missing persons is estimated at approximately 50,000. In addition, the International Organization for Migration estimates that the double earthquake in Venezuela will directly affect approximately 6.76 million people, including two (2) million in the capital, Caracas. At the same time, it is sounding the alarm about “the potentially severe humanitarian impact of the disaster.”

Meanwhile, on the economic front, the United Nations Development Program estimates that the damage caused by the double earthquake is approximately $7 billion, an amount equivalent to approximately 6% of the country’s GDP.
