A fire broke out at noon on Monday (June 29) in an agricultural and forested area in the region of Varda Elis.
To extinguish the fire, 36 firefighters with 9 vehicles, 2 teams of firefighters from the 6th and 18th EMODE units, and 3 aircraft.
Assistance is being provided by local government water trucks and heavy equipment, while strong winds are blowing in the area, hampering firefighting efforts.
