48 confirmed cases of foot-and-mouth disease, out of a total of 60 positive flocks, in Lesbos, from 15/03 to 20/04/2026, according to an update from YPAT.
A total of 434 flocks were examined during the same period. In particular, surveillance covered 345 sheep, 12 goat, 13 cattle and 64 mixed feedlots.
In addition, blood samples were taken from 12,081 animals, while a total of 21,979 samples were sent to the National Reference Laboratory for laboratory testing.
