Announcements on new support measures are expected immediately and even tomorrow (22/04/26) from the prime minister, according to Pavlos Marinakis.
Talking to Parapolitika 90.1, Mr. Marinakis appeared conservatively optimistic about the fiscal data to be announced.
As the government spokesman, Paulos Marinakis, asked about this, When asked about the official announcements on the surplus, he said, tomorrow we expect the official announcements on the surplus. “There is a cautious optimism that we will have good news and then the prime minister will make announcements even tomorrow on new support measures, immediately,” he said.
The financing of the government’s additional measures will be judged by the final confirmation of fiscal data by ELSTAT this week on 22 April, and by the leeway allowed by the Commission under European spending rules.
