Faced with dismantled toys and construction, the staff and students and students of the 1st Kindergarten Sweet Waters School this Tuesday morning.
During the overnight hours, unidentified persons broke into the courtyard and, despite its constant lighting, proceeded to destroy it by hiding behind the perimeter planting.
The incident of vandalismoccurred on one of the most central streets of Sweet Waterswhere it is surprising that the residents did not notice anything despite the fact that the kindergarten is adjacent to a number of residential houses.
“A few months ago we replaced the toys in a nursery school, just on Monday the 4th Kindergarten of Peania opened in its new place and today we are called to repair damage that vandals caused to a school premises. They do not realize that their anti-social behavior burdens the entire local community, including their families” noted the Mayor of Peania Isidoros Madis who did not hide his surprise that their action was not noticed by passers-by and residents. “The protection of municipal property is incumbent on all of us. We cannot turn a blind eye,”he said.
The Municipality of Peania immediately followed all legal procedures and restoration work is beginning.
