Attack on the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis, Minister of Health Adonis Georgiades, strongly criticizing his stance on the issues of corruption.
Because of both the recent statements of Mr. Androulakis in the Parliament, as well as his presence at the conference of European Socialists, where he appeared next to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
Mr. Georgiades used particularly couth phraseology, referring to “Sancho Pancho against the corrupt“, accusing the PASOK president of “using scandal as his only hope to turn the polls“.
“Last week, Mr Androulakis came to Parliament and said that if I become government I will look into all the corruption scandals of the Mitsotakis government. Case 1: Mr. Androulakis is a politician who does not tolerate a fly on the sword when it comes to corruption whose whole policy is how to put us in jail. Over the weekend, however, I saw him at a European socialist conference sitting for a selfie with Sanchez. This staunch opponent of corruption, this Sancho Pancha against the corrupt, has he not learned that a felony prosecution for undue influence on the judiciary was brought against Sanchez’s wife; Has he not learned that they have arrested a Sanchez minister with money and are trying him?” he told OREN. Georgiades.
“So a government of the South West is a government of convicts – without any convictions – because a prosecutor asked for an explanation but Mr. Sanchez who has 15 prosecutions in his family is fine because he is a socialist? Is that how much he fights corruption? He must respect the presumption of innocence in everyone,” the health minister continued his reasoning.
“When you call the government and the Southwestern party’s CO a group of suspects because some prosecutor is looking for MPs, you cannot say that Sanchez is fine. Androulakis is a lying pharisaical hypocrite who uses scandalology not to fight corruption but to bring down Mitsotakis. This is his only hope of turning the polls around.”
