The Vice President of the Lebanon government Tarek Mitri was received yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Giorgos Gerapetritis.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the latest developments in Lebanon, including the recent 10-day ceasefire with Israel and the upcoming direct talks between the two countries to be held in Washington.
The Foreign Minister expressed Greece’s unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, according to a post by the Foreign Ministry on “X”.
In addition, Greece yesterday completed the first phase of humanitarian and development assistance sent to Lebanon. “Greece stands by the government and people of Lebanon and is ready to provide further assistance,” the Foreign Ministry said.
