The Minister Protection of the Citizen, Michalis Chrysochoidis today welcomed the European Attorney General, Laura Covesi.
During this new meeting, a short review of the actions developed jointly was made and the good cooperation between the Directorate for Organised Crime and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office was confirmed. At the same time, other topics of common interest were also discussed.
In fact, it was agreed to further cooperation, with the exchange of information and technical knowledge for the treatment of cross-border organised crime, with an emphasis on crimes of a financial nature.
Finally, the minister reiterated that the services of the National Police. remain at the disposal of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office for any cases required.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director of the D.A.O.E, Major General Ioannis Stavrakakis, the supervising Prosecutor of Appeals, Dimitris Gkyzis, the Head of the Executive Office of the European Public Prosecutor, Milan Jaron, the Head of the European Public Prosecutors’ Office, Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Eleni Karkabouna and Officers of the EL.AS.
