Accusation against the head of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office Laura Covesi left the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis, speaking at the Delphi Economic Forum.
During a discussion with the president of the SΦEE Olympios Papadimitriou, the minister commented: “As long as Mrs. Covesi still allows us, we have democracy“, causing a sensation.
In the same context, he presented data on the progress of clinical trials, noting that 272 applications were filed in 2025, compared to 212 in 2024, which was the best year to date.
Referring to the new CRA for clinical trials, he argued that from the beginning of 2026 a more transparent and less bureaucratic environment is being shaped, which enhances the attraction of investment in the health sector.
He also stood on the progress of European innovation legislation, expressing satisfaction as – as he said – its revision is finally not moving in a direction that could harm the development of innovation.
