The People’s Freedom Party president announces massive lawsuits against government officials, members of parliament and journalists, in a new fierce political conflict with strong complaints.

In a new escalation of political and legal confrontation, the Zoe Konstantopoulou, who announced that she will file an extensive series of lawsuits against government officials, members of the New Democracy and journalist, denouncing organized targeting and attempts to silence her through institutional and extra-institutional procedures. The president of Liberty Workers’ Party argues that these actions are linked to wider cases of public interest and that they are part of a pressure system which, she says, tries to hurt both her personally and the revelations she has brought to publicity.

A “false accusation” was referred to by the president of Pλεύisi Eleftherias, commenting on what happened with her as the protagonist at the Labour Inspectorate after a complaint by a former employee of the party and the incident inside the offices of the service that resulted – after her complaint – in her being taken to the A.Omonoia police station and the supervisor who handled the case was taken to the detention centre, as Flash.gr reports.

Analytical lawsuit

Zoe Konstantopoulou announced in a 15-minute statement that she is filing a “detailed lawsuit” against members of the government, including Adonis Georgiades and Pavlos Marinakis, members of the Southwest Party such as Makarios Lazaridis and Dimitris Markopoulos, as well as against journalist Petros Koussoulou.

According to Konstantopoulou, the case is linked to Vasiliki Polyzou – a former employee of Plysi Eleftherias – who, she said, is linked to the government and aimed to “silence her from the revelations about the Tempi crime, the OPEKEPE, the wiretapping and the explosion in Violanda”.

Konstantopoulou even spoke of a “criminal organisation” headed, she said, by Kyriakos Mitsotakis which now aims to damage the institution of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office “because it reveals their criminal aims through the case files.”
