Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the moves by Hezbollah in Lebanon undermine the agreed ceasefire with Israel.

During the weekly cabinet meeting, he said the group’s violations “effectively nullify the ceasefire“. The agreement between the two sides was extended for another three weeks just last Thursday.

On the other hand, Hezbollah rejects the accusations. It calls them “baseless” and turns its fire on Israel. It claims that the military strikes and the presence of Israeli forces on Lebanese soil are continuing.

According to the organization, its own actions are defensive. It describes them as a response to repeated violations of the agreement by the Israeli side.
