A seismic shock of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale occurred today in Crete, at 10:45 a.m., 402 kilometers southeast of Athens, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
The focal point of the earthquake is located at sea area 13 kilometres south of Goudouras in Lassithi.
About ten minutes later, a second tremor of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale was recorded.
