After the creation of the photovoltaic station the energy costs and carbon dioxide emissions in the region of Kastoria will be reduced.
With funding of 701,612 euros from the Special Fair Development Transition Programme of the National Development Programme (NDP) 2021- 2025, the creation of a photovoltaic power plant in the area of Lagoura in the municipality of Argos Orestiko, Kastoria, begins, following a decision by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
Specifically, the construction, with a tracking and energy storage system, aims to cover a significant part of the energy needs of the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the area, an important infrastructure for public health and environmental protection with increased and continuous needs in electricity. The completion of the project will ensure the reduction of energy costs and carbon dioxide emissions.
The capacity of the PV plant will be 199.50KW, while the energy storage system will consist of 2 HVS (High Voltage Storage) lithium batteries with a capacity of 2.56kWh each. The beneficiary of the project is the municipality of Argos Orestiko.
