As one of “one of the most beautiful streets of Athens”, Kostas Bakoyannis described V. Olga Street on the occasion of the prime minister’s visit to the renovated street.
“Vasilissis Olgas is now one of the most beautiful streets in Athens and we are very, very proud. So many people have spoken out over the years. Now the project is now talking,” he said.
In detail, his statement:
“Vasilissis Olgas is now one of the most beautiful streets of Athens and we are very proud. Over the years, many have spoken out. Now the project is now talking.
Just a few due thanks and congratulations:
To the brilliant minds of the Consolidation of Archaeological Villages (CAHA) who inspired the project decades ago and especially to the architect Mr. George Provelengio and his team.
To Anaplasi SA, its managing director Chronis Akritidis and his colleagues, who implemented the project.
To the government that supported and financed it, especially to the Minister of Culture, Mrs. Lina Mendoni, who embraced it.
To all the members of the previous municipal and community council who believed in it and insisted on it, not only in our “Athens Vysala” party, but also in the factions “Athens is You” of Pavlos Geroulanos, “Athens is our home” of Vassilis Kapernaros and “Athens and Athens again” of Giorgos Voulgarakis.
To my colleagues, elected and official, who worked so hard. Of course to all of you for your patience.
And something personal:Politics is only meaningful if it leaves an imprint. Then you know that the road you walk has value.”
