If one puts… wisdom and watching side by side, one will find a pattern repeated by “the alliance of desperation“.
The “wisdom” was based on extreme – but palatable – conspiracy theories and the drawings made by multi-talented fact-checkers-experts-experts-in the Internet in telephones against the backdrop of victims Tempi tragedy.
There has been extreme and sometimes strong instrumentalization not only of the victims’ relatives but also of the victims themselves, as well as exploitation of the victims’ anger and emotions to “rise up” against the government and of course personally against Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The “cover-up” slogans became slogans that continue today on another issue with the same rationale. Stirring up the mire, making the mud and turning on the fan. Without evidence on the basis of “they said, they heard, it is certain”, extreme toxicity and populism are again chosen as a compensation for the inability to express political discourse and alternatives for citizens and the country.
The legal backlinks of the EJP “were” with an illegal software and put into the mixer of smear and vulgarity only to set up a narrative and involve the Prime Minister and Gregoris Dimitriadis who was – and is – a red rag for those who want to damage the government and hurt New Democracy.
The rationale behind the fake news and the conspiracy theories, simple: the illegal software had been sent to the phones of persons who were being monitored, legally and with prosecutor signatures, by the NSA. No, to some of them. And had it worked on all of them? No on a few, perhaps counted on the fingers of one hand.
Well, so what? As if they’d let reality spoil the narrative based on the well-known“rod in the corner, therefore it’s raining”. Besides, the tactic is well known. It was captured when “Rasputin” was comfortably declaring during the time of the popular Tsipras government “send them to justice and let them prove that they are not guilty”.
After all, the quotes are enough. And the anger. The Internet is doing its job, although in the case of piracy and illegal software the media have also come in strong, since there are also domestic people who are interested in… political change, i.e. “getting Mitsotakis out of office”.
The attack against Justice and personally against its officials such as the prosecutor of the Aryan Supreme Court, Constantine Tzavellas, just confirms the pattern that started with the beating, reached the illegal software with OPEKEPE as an intermediate stop.
What the proponents of this tactic forget, however, is that so far it has all gone… bucket. As well as that populism and toxicity have short legs…
