The meeting between Mayor of Thessaloniki, Stelios Angeloudis, and Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Mr. Tigran Mkrtchyan, and the Honorary Consul in Thessaloniki, Mr. Akis Dagazian.

The discussion focused on the further strengthening of bilateral relations, the promotion of common historical memory and the promotion of tourism and cultural synergies.

On the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Genocide of Armenians, this year’s decision to pay special attention to Thessaloniki was underlined, recognizing its historical role as a city of refuge and the strong Armenian element it retains. In this context, a major concert is being co-organized today, 30/4, at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (M.M.Th.) in cooperation with the K.O.Th. and the Embassy.
