In a new crescendo of parliamentary graphicness, Zoe Konstantopoulou, has decided to use the floor of the Parliament as a field for yet another theatrical performance.
During the debate on an environment bill, Ms Constantopoulou appeared holding her cellphone a href=”https://tomanifesto.gr/tilefona”>telephone in a desperate attempt to play an audio file, which – she claimed – was about the Israeli army and the flotilla to Gaza.
Despite the remarks of the chair, Giorgos Lambroulis, who pointed out the obvious, namely that “nothing is being heard, Madam President“, she insisted on the familiar tactic of delays and tensions.
She even demanded that the proceedings be halted and her time be reset to zero to ensure that the House undergoes the “hearing” of her device.
Once again, Zoe Konstantopoulou has shown that she perceives the House not as a policy-making venue, but as a stage for activist hyperbole and works of sensationalism.
