The tension in the Parliament has hit red, against the backdrop of the meeting of the Conference of Presidents to elect new leadership for the Data Protection Authority.

The decision of the PASOK to vote for the nomination of Katerina Syngouna for the chairmanship of the authority provoked a strong reaction from the representative of Hellenic Solution.

“PASOK comes and joins forces with ND. We do it says in the light (laughs) We talk the people do not play. We are talking about normal audacity,” Konstantinos Chitas initially said from the podium, attacking Charilaou Trikoupis, “reminding” PASOK’s previous criticisms of Kyriakos Velopoulos.

The tension reached a peak when PASOK MP Petros Pappas reacted from the benches.

The dialogue that follows is indicative of the extreme polarization that prevailed in the hall:

Kostas Chitas: PASOK comes and joins forces with ND. We do it, he says, in the light. We talk people do not play. We talk about audacity proper.

Petros Pappas: We do not do it in the evening!

Costas Xitas: Or throw the angry gentleman out or if you can’t listen, shut up! This is the floor of the House, do you understand?

Olga Gerovassili: Stop the interpersonal.

Costas Xitas: I have been interrupted 7 times by the anagogos.

Petros Pappas: The name-calling…

Costas Hitas: The least anagogo you interrupt. And you have the nerve, Mr Manzo, pick up your MP, your MP by proxy. And you have the audacity, Mr Manzo, to vote the day to join forces with ND.
