The exodus of excursionists gradually began yesterday afternoon ahead of the three-day Protomay, with traffic increasing significantly today on highways.

Families and day trippers are choosing to take advantage of the day for a short getaway, with many estimated to return either in the evening or tomorrow morning to enjoy the rest of the weekend in the peace and quiet of their homes.
