A statement that will be discussed was made by Giannis Ragousis from the Delphi forum, speaking about Syriazas and what Kostas Arvanitis said about the 2023 national elections.

In a desperate move, Kostas Arvanitis said a few days ago that the 2023 national elections were… the result of rigging, though he then retracted some of what he said. Of course, the damage to the credibility of the political system from such reckless statements cannot be undone.

From the Delphi forum, Giannis Ragousis was asked about what the Syriza MEP said and clearly distanced himself: he replied categorically that there was no fraud in the elections, but he said something else very interesting.

The Political Planning Officer and member of the Political Secretariat of Syriza claimed that somehow some people did commit fraud but to the detriment of his party. And when he referred to fraud, he made it clear that he meant the statements and behavior of some cadres within the party that cost Syriza the elections.

He did not back up what he said, saying that Alexis Tsipras wrote the same thing in Ithaca. That is, he is referring to Syriza executives who, with what they stated and with their general behavior, are responsible for the very low rates of the party.

The Ragousis allegations

As Yiannis Ragousis said on whether there was fraud “I answer clearly, no. Not even Mr. Arvanitis raised the issue of rigging” and continued “However, regarding the result of Syriza in 2023, yes the elections were rigged, but they were rigged through Syriza. Not by design but de facto, because of statements, behaviors and initiatives that many refer to Ithaca of Alexis Tsipras.”

Why does he not find responsibility in the then leader of SYRIZA, namely Alexis Tsipras, for the election result? But because the former PASOK minister and current Syriza political planning officer is ready to jump on board the former prime minister’s new ship. Besides, reports say that his relationship with Socrates Famello is not good at all, despite his key position in the party apparatus.

However, it would be interesting to hear from Giannis Ragousis which were the executives who led Syriza to the electoral crash and why the captain, namely Alexis Tsipras, bears absolutely no responsibility. His comrades in Syriza will be very happy about this.
