The deadline to apply for the Social Tourism 2026 programme is today, Sunday (3/5).
The platform will remain open until midnight for private sector employees, insured with EFKA and registered unemployed persons of DYPA.
After three extensions, due to technical problems caused by the high volume of applications that crashed the platform, the process is being completed today.
Over 340,000 applications for Social Tourism
According to official figures, applications have exceeded 340,000 for the granting of 300,000 vouchers to beneficiaries.
The “Social Tourism” program has been extended this year to 13 months (starting May 18, ending June 30, 2027).
Series for retired freelancers
From tomorrow, Monday 3 May, the application process for retired freelancers (t.OAEE) starts. The application process of the interested beneficiaries is done on the website: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/programmata-koinonikou-tourismou-gia-suntaxioukhous-eephka-proen-oaee and will last 9 days, with a deadline for completion of applications on 13 May.
The program will also have a duration of 13 months, with an anticipated start date of June 1.
Note that on the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, beneficiaries can stay up to 10 nights for free, with zero private contribution, while in the municipalities of Northern Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly, except Sporades, they can stay up to 12 nights free of charge.
