Terror was struck Saturday morning (2/5) in Brixton,in London by an unknown gunman who opened fire indiscriminately from his car at passers-by.

The shots injured four people. One 25-year-old is hospitalized in serious condition, while a 21-year-old, a 47-year-old and a 70-year-old bear more minor injuries.

The Metropolitan Police, along with special units, immediately rushed to the scene after calls from area residents.

Investigations are continuing to identify the perpetrators

No arrests have been made so far. Authorities are continuing to investigate to identify those responsible.

Police officers were seen searching a grassy area near the Southwyck House housing estate on Coldharbour Lane, where the incident occurred.

Resident Robert, 40, who did not wish to give his surname, said he believed the incident occurred during a barbecue party.

The lead investigator, Detective Inspector Alam Bangu, called the incident an “act of indiscriminate violence.”
