A formal response to Trump is sent by Iran regarding proposed US amendments to the 14 points, stressing that the goal is to achieve peace.

In a statement, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai clarified that the proposal Tehran submitted to the US “is exclusively about ending the war.”

“We received the US response to our proposal a few hours ago. We are currently studying the US response to our proposal,” Ismail Baghai said. “The US submitted amendments to our proposal, which we are considering, and we will return them through Pakistan,” he clarified. “We have repeatedly stated that we are currently focused on achieving peace with the US side,” Ismail Baghai stressed.

“Although there are other issues, some of which arise from the record of the talks with the US, the Iranian plan, which consists of 14 points, focuses on ending the war, and what is circulating in the media is not accurate,” Ismail Baghai clarified. “At this stage, we are not conducting negotiations on the nuclear program,” Ismail Baghai stressed.
