Dimitris Reppas: asks for the participation of Harry Castanidis in the Thessaloniki ballot

Dimitris Reppas, in a statement to Dnews, asks the Political Council of PASOKto recommend to the Central Committee of the party the participation of Harry Castanides in the candidate Thessalonikiin the next elections.

“The operation of political ostracism of Charis Kastanidis has not reduced Kastanidis, but the person who is attempting it, the president of PASOK,” the former minister and member of the PASOK Central Committee for almost 45 years, among others, said: “‘Even now, the Political Council should recommend to the Central Committee that it should decide on the participation of Harry Castanidis on the Thessaloniki ballot list in the next elections, except as provided for in the Constitution adopted at the Congress“.

In conclusion, Dimitris Reppas recalls that: “A similar procedure has been repeatedly followed in PASOK in the past in exceptional cases“.

“The operation of political ostracism of Harry Castanidis did not reduce Castanidis, but the one who is attempting it, the president of PASOK.

The indecency of ’23 with the deprivation of the seat of the native MP of Thessaloniki and even a politician with recognized political competence and ethics, continues with the operation of political smearing of the political career of Harry Castanidis, who has the general recognition and appreciation of everyone.

It is regrettable to attribute political accusations to an executive such as Haris Kastanidis, and this at a time when the PASOK leadership is opening its arms to countless agents who fought abysmally against PASOK when the Kastanidis were fighting for its political victories.

I am clearly positioned in favour of expanding PASOK in all directions without excluding anyone who chooses to join it now, because PASOK has flourished as a multi-diverse majority party without politically discriminatory attitudes as is now the case with Harry Castanides.

‘Even now, the Political Council must recommend to the Central Committee and it must decide on the participation of Harry Castanides in the Thessaloniki ballot in the next elections, except as provided for in the Statute which was passed at the Congress.

The same procedure has been repeatedly followed in PASOK in the past in exceptional cases.”
