Pakistan in role of mediator for “win-win” solutionin US-Iran negotiations and termination of conflict through consultations underway.

At a period of intense geopolitical tensions, Pakistan is emerging as a critical channel of communication between the US and Iran, with diplomatic processes focused on finding a mutually acceptable “win-win” formula that could lead to a de-escalation and eventual termination of the war. Backstage deliberations, involving third countries and international factors, are attempting to bridge deep political and strategic differences, while pressure for progress is mounting as instability in the region affects security and the balance of power.

Pakistan’s foreign minister, Ishaq Dar, said that “significant progress” had been made during the negotiations, adding that efforts had been made to prevent attacks against Gulf states.

Consultations to end the conflict are continuing and we hope that, with the support of several countries, we will be able to end the conflict. The goal is to end the conflict in a way that benefits both sides,” Dar said.
