European equities rose in early trading today.

Optimism among investors is strengthening after U.S. President Donald Trump’s about “great progress” towards a comprehensive peace deal with Iran.

The European STOXX 600 index rose 1% to 615.62 points at 10:03 GMT, posting gains for a second day.

Major regional stocks also moved higher, with the British FTSE 100 and Spanish IBEX 35 both up more than 1%.
