The waiver of the parliamentary immunity of the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos, has been recommended to the plenary session of the House of Representatives by the Ethics Committee.
According to reports, the decision was taken unanimously, with Mr Velopoulos also asking for his immunity to be lifted. According to the same information, Mr Velopoulos was accused by a politician of Afroditis Latinoopoulou of insulting, public, repeated and slanderous libel for acts that took place in 2025.
The plenary session of the Parliament is expected to make a final decision on whether or not to lift Mr.Velopoulos’ immunity next week.
