In the final phase of the Recovery Fund, Greece reallocates resources to health, energy, infrastructure and space programmes without changing the overall budget.
At a critical juncture for the use of European funds, Greece is proceeding with an extensive update of the Greece 2.0 plan, submitting to the European Commission the final proposal for revision under the Recovery and Resilience Fund. The new form of the programme focuses on supporting mature and high value-added actions, with targeted transfers of resources towards projects related to health, infrastructure, energy and modern technologies, such as micro-minerals. Without altering the overall financial framework, the plan attempts to maximise the development and social impact of investments as we enter the final stretch of the implementation and closure of the European mechanism financing.
The proposal was submitted in the context of the final phase of the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund and in line with the guidelines issued by the European Commission for the closure of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
Principal purpose of the review – The adjustments included
The principal purpose of the review is to finalise the milestones of the Greek Plan, with a view to ensuring the full and efficient use of the available European resources for the benefit of the economy and society.
The proposal includes adjustments, taking into account the progress to date in the implementation of projects and milestones and targeted reallocations of resources without bringing about any change in the overall financial framework.
