Aircraft bound for Monaho made an emergency landing at “Eleftherios Venizelos“, with the passengers safely evacuating the vessel.

An emergency situation prevailed late Monday afternoon on the airport of Athens, when a Lufthansa aircraft was forced to interrupt its journey a few minutes after take-off.

The Flight 1753, which was bound for Monaho, experienced a technical problem while in the air, which forced the captain to request an immediate return to the airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

Despite the intense concern, the landing procedure was successfully completed and all passengers and crew are in perfect health.

The timeline of the incident began at 18:19, when the plane taxied and took off normally. However, at about 18:35, the crew informed the passengers of the need for precautionary return to the Greek capital for safety reasons.

As soon as the aircraft touched down on the runway, an order was given for immediate evacuation, with flight attendants activating the inflatable escape slides. Fire trucks and strong airport security forces were immediately dispatched to the scene and coordinated the transport of the citizens to a sheltered area.

Despite the temporary disruption during disembarkation, the operation was completed without injuries, thanks to the readiness of staff and adherence to the prescribed safety protocols.
