The examination of documents against the president of the Liberty Party by the Ethics Committee has sparked a heated debate in Parliament.

Zoe Konstantopoulou launched an attack on the Health Minister, calling him a “parastatal” and accusing him of threatening her with jail through repeated lawsuits.

For his part, Georgiades responded in strong terms, calling Ms Konstantopoulou a “great hypocrite” and claiming that the filings against her do not stem from a parastatal, but from private disputes and allegations of labour and tax violations.

“You’re not being chased by a parastate. You are being chased by the sister-in-law of Giorgia Kefalas,” he said.

The health minister accused the president of the Freedom Party of Freedom Party of tax and labour violations, claiming that she attacked the Labour Inspectorate instead of explaining herself.

And you owe her money and you have committed tax violations. Instead of apologizing for the violations, you are bullying the Labour Inspectorate,” she said from the floor of the House.

The reaction of Zoe Konstantopoulou was again outside the institutional framework of the House: “You are paramilitary!” with Adonis Georgiadis responding ironically: “The lady came in exile, I’m normal! She has come in exile, in crisis!
