Maria Syrengela accused Nikos Androulakis of political inconsistency.

Strong criticism of PASOK President Nikos Androulakis has been launched by New Democracy MP Maria Syregnela, focusing on issues of political credibility and social justice.

Mrs. Syrengela pointed out a intense contradiction in Androulla’s political discourse, noting that it is problematic to suggest imposing an extraordinary tax on Greek banks, when he himself chooses to keep his personal savings in foreign banking institutions.

At the same time, the New Democracy MP referred in particular to the way in which the PASOK president manages the mistakes of his colleagues. Referring to the case of his statements, Syrengela admitted that an error was indeed made by Mr Androulakis’ accountant, but stressed that he does not show the same understanding in similar cases of ordinary citizens. In particular, he referred to the case of 37 farmers, who are accused because their own accountant failed to file the necessary documents.
