The Vice-Chairman of the Government, Kostis Hatzidakis, was a guest of Thanasis Fouskidis on the vidcast Black Box, on the opening day of the Syndrio of the ND.
Mr. Hatzidakis, referring to the Southwestern Democratic Party’s Congress, stressed that it is an opportunity for an evaluation of the course and the work that the government of the Southwestern Democratic Party has done so far, but also to make the necessary self-criticism.
“It is important to talk about the agenda for the next day at this year’s conference,” Hatzidakis said. “Obviously we will highlight the important work, but we don’t want a vote of gratitude, but realistic hope and perspective,” he added.
As regards the second four years of the ND government, Mr.Hatzidakis said that there may be an ostensible feeling that no reforms have been made, but this is not the case. “Interventions were made that we have been discussing for decades and were not made, such as non-state universities and there is significant interest from foreign private universities,” the Deputy Prime Minister said. The second is the major reform in curbing tax evasion.
Mr. Hatzidakis also referred to the absence of former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis from the ND Congress. I believe that we all need. So it is not very sincere to pretend that we don’t care. party cohesion is everyone’s business,” he said. At the same time, regarding the creation of a party by Antonis Samaras, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the former prime minister has made his decisions.
Referring to statements and the complaints of “blue” MPs about the executive state, Hatzidakis pointed out that they are right in many of their complaints. In fact, he said that even he himself has at times criticised the party, but made it clear that “we are all on the same boat“.
