Israeli official warns of possible resumption of war with Iran, while Tel Aviv awaits the critical decision of Donald Trump.

The Middle East is once again on a trajectory of dangerous escalation, as fears grow of a new military confrontation between Israel and Iran, just as diplomatic efforts appear to be stalling. A senior Israeli official revealed that Tel Aviv is preparing for a possible war front lasting days or even weeks, with Israeli authorities believing that Tehran’s talks with the US have not yielded any substantial results. At the same time, all attention is turning to Donald Trump and Washington’s next moves, as the US stance is seen as decisive for developments in the region. Despite the fragile ceasefire that remains in place, Israel – Iran tensions continue to rise dangerously, causing international concern about the implications for security, energy and geopolitical stability.

Israel is preparing for the imminent resumption of war with Iran, which could last for weeks, a senior Israeli official told Israel’s Channel 12.

Negotiations with no visible outcome

“The Americans understand that negotiations with Iran are going nowhere,” said the official, who spoke anonymously, while explaining that the Israeli government is making preparations for the imminent resumption of the war.

“We are preparing for battles that will last from days to weeks and we are waiting for Trump’s final decision. We will know more in 24 hours,” the official added.

A ceasefire with Iran is currently in effect, and negotiations are ongoing with an exchange of proposals, with no visible result so far.
