A drunk driver swept a crowd of people outside a barbershop, leaving behind two dead and three seriously injured.

An unspeakable tragedy with two dead and three injured unfolded in Manhattan, when a car crashed into suspecting pedestrians.

The horrific accident occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Amsterdam Avenue and W 109th Street.

According to police, the vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man first crashed at tremendous speed into two parked cars and then ended up on a group of people sitting outside a local barbershop.

The victims of the deadly crash are two men, aged 35 and 46, with one of them leaving behind triple children.

65-year-old eyewitness David Lawrence described the incident as a “horror show” adding that the driver was completely out of control and “ran over” a man who was trapped under the wheels. The three injured were taken to critical condition at St. Luke’s Hospital.

The 61-year-old driver, who was immediately arrested, attempted to excuse himself to authorities by claiming he suffered a stroke and lost consciousness. However, official statements and a New York Post report refuted him, as he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and now faces serious charges of double homicide.
