The Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, speaking at the 16th Conference of ND said that “what unites us is an unshakeable belief in common values, patriotism, the benefit of the many over the interests of the few and freedom.”

“This is our dna, our identity, the intangible material of which our fighting is made. To be a SW requires having or having adopted this dna. This is what has kept us standing and makes SW strong and prominent. The soul of the party is not given away, is not transferred and does not belong to anyone,” Papastavrou added.

“Right now, the first drilling is scheduled to take place in February 2027. The estimated public revenues reach 10 billion.Our country is third in the world in solar participation in the energy mixand in terms of general energywe are ninth in the world,” he noted, stressing that “whoever controls his energy controls his destiny.”

“We have advanced marine spatial planning by exercising our sovereign rights in the field. Kyriakos Mitsotakis proved that the environment is a national issue,” the minister noted.

“After the congress we have a big battle which will prove that the New Democracy remains the broad social majority. We will contrast the toxicity of our opponents with our work. Let us all go together with faith, confidence and unity for the Greece of 2030. A strong ND means a strong Greece,” Papastavrou stressed.
