Dmitris Natsios understands that to save himself politically he must approach Maria Karystianou.
Physically, this is not that difficult. Half of Maria Karystianou‘s associates are former Niki politicians, indicative of both the direction her party is taking and the centres from which she receives support.
Among others, Maria Gratsia and the retired Athanasios Tzouganatos were candidates for deputies with Niki and are currently in the leadership team of “Hope for Democracy” At the same time, many current and former executives of Niki attended the first party meeting.
It is no coincidence that, as measurements show, the party of Maria Karystianou receives about half of the voters of Niki.
In this context, Dimitris Natsios, who sees his party in the polls consistently below 3%, is reportedly considering a possible partnership with Maria Karystianou. Let’s not forget that Niki’s president a few months ago pointed out that Maria Karystianou’s views matched those of Niki and… invited her to join his party.
Of course, the opposite will probably happen. Anyway, the president of Niki has gotten messages from the ultra-orthodox centers and monasteries that supported him in the last election that the “line” is now in favor of Maria Karystianou and will withdraw support to his party.
Now those who say that Maria Karystianou has created a Victory 2.0 are obviously malicious.
