A strong message of escalation to Iran was sent by the Minister of Defense of Israel, Israel Kats, warning that in the event of a rejection of the American proposal to abandon nuclear program, the response will be even harsher militarily.
During his speech, the Israeli official described the situation as a “historic turning point”, stressing that Tehran faces two options. “Iran is at a historic turning point: one path consists of renouncing terrorism and nuclear weapons, in line with the US proposal: the other leads to the abyss,” he said.
He went on to warn of further military escalation in case of a negative response from the Iranian side: “If the Iranian regime takes the second option, it will very soon discover that there are targets even more painful than those we have already hit.”
