The PASOK is moving forward, say those at Charilaou Trikoupis, in a door-to-door” excursion to the basin and urban centres.

The anxiety of polls -which they denounce, but which they read regularly in Charilaou Trikoupis – is leading PASOK to “door-to-door”, “neighbourhood-to-neighbourhood” or, as the party secretary Giannis Vardakastanis said, “parish-to-parish”, in an attempt to conjure up the… unpicking of the needle that has finally come, but is downward.

In the basin and in urban centres, PASOK has a problem. A big one compared to the region, as the polls say, but it seems they understand it there in Charilaou Trikoupis where they are looking for solutions in… contact with citizens and in communicating the program they claim to have, although it is essentially a program that moves along the lines of “give it all” and indeed “give it all to everyone”.

Nobody knows whether the “parish-parish” or “door-to-door” dash will work and whether the people will listen to what PASOK is saying in case it continues to catastrophize and present a ruined country. Unless he changes tactics, which seems difficult given the leader’s obsessions and self-doubting attitude that is transmitted to the rest of the cadres.

Now of course there is another problem with the “door-to-door” campaign mainly because of the dimension the scams have taken with those ringing the bells and shouting “open up, auntie, we’re from PPC”as suspicious citizens may not respond to the voice saying “open up, auntie, we’re from PASOK”.

In any case, in Charilaou Trikoupis they are looking for solutions, seeing the (new) president of (new) SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras leading in the public opinion polls with anxiety dominating in the face of the possibility that this picture will be consolidated in the near future.
