Nikos Papandreou has sent a message of a change of direction to PASOK, telling ACTION 24 that the findings of polls show the need for a new course.

The party’s electoral candidate argued that the picture recorded has not changed substantially and that the party should move autonomously in the elections, leaving open decisions on the way forward after the first Sunday.

Talking about the political scene, Nikos Papandreou said citizens are looking for a solution that he said they can’t find in any party. In the same context, he noted, “The bullet has not left where it was.”

The message for PASOK

Referring to the stance that, in his view, PASOK should take, he said that the party should run autonomously. But he stressed that after the first Sunday everything will be decided anew, leaving open the possibility of new political facts.

The MEP pointed out that “After 12 polls, something must be said” and stressed that these results should be taken seriously by the party leadership. Elsewhere in the interview he also said, “The first Sunday will show us the next Sunday“.

The reference to the next day

Nikos Papandreou noted that the crucial point will be the first Sunday of the elections, as from there the discussion about the next moves of PASOK can be opened. As he said, between the first and second Sunday something spectacular may emerge in Greece and “They can be torn down and we can see new things. After the first Sunday, it will be open to PASOK to decide democratically before the elections. Let’s see where we are after the first Sunday.”
