Special police operation was carried out yesterday, Tuesday 9 June 2026, in settlements of Aspropyrgos, with the aim of preventing and tackling any form of illegal activity recorded in the area.
The operation was attended by police officers of the above mentioned Service, the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Western Attica, the Directorate of Police Operations of Attica, the O.P.K.E., of the Police Investigation Team, the Attica Traffic Police Directorate, with the assistance of an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone).
11 arrests – Including one persecuted man
During the operation, a total of 11 people were arrested and cases were filed against them for – on occasion – theft of electricity, violation of the Traffic Code, while one of the arrested persons was accused.
Alongside, 30 violations of the Traffic Code were confirmed. for lacking a driver’s license, not wearing a seat belt and helmet, etc, while 5 traffic licenses and 7 driving licenses were withdrawn.
4,420 meters of cables were disconnected for electricity theft
Finally, a crew of the DEDDIE carried out the disconnection of 4.420 meters used for electricity theft, while 2 cases of water theft from houses were found by employees of the EYDAP crew.
The case file was submitted to the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office.
