The statement that “we are not off track from the goal of self-sufficiency” was made by New Democracy MP, Vangelis Liakos.

In statements to Action24, the MP made it clear that “our goal is a majority government; that is what we are working toward,” noting that in this direction, in the one year remaining until the elections, the entire program of the New Democracy party will be rolled out for key sectors, such as health, employment.

“We have a whole year ahead of us, as the elections will take place at the end of the four-year term, that is, in the spring of 2027. During this time, we will roll out the rest of the program for which the Greek people elected us in 2023. We will have all healthcare facilities fully operational, the minimum wage at 950 euros—maybe even more,” he said characteristically.
