“Today’s event proves in the best possible way that when the state listens to and collaborates with the community of citizens, those who are always on the front lines, on the front lines, in this case dedicated to the service, to the mission of protecting animals, then something truly good can come of it.

Nothing could be done if we did not have the unwavering support of the volunteers. And I want you to reserve your warmest applause for the volunteers, in this case those from Dog’s Voice, the people who will be there, whenever needed in the field, will leave, give up their jobs or their vacations so they can provide this very important service.”

This was stated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, inaugurating the first center reception center for animals affected by natural and man-made disasters, at the Olympic facilities in Galatsi.

The event was attended, among others, by the Minister of the Interior, Theodoros Livaniou, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Vasilis Spanakis, the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Kostas Katsafados, and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Marilena Soukouli.
