The British Police announced today that it is investigating an incident of safety at press of Israel in London with officers in protective gear assessing “discarded objects” found nearby.
Officers from the counter-terrorism service are also examining a video posted online overnight in which an organisation claims to have targeted the embassy with drones carrying dangerous substances, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
“While we can confirm that the embassy was not attacked, we are conducting investigations under the urgent procedure to ascertain the credibility of the video and determine if there is any connection between it and the items found dumped in the Kensington Gardens,” the statement said.
Police said the area was cordoned off and the public was prohibited from accessing the Gardens and the surrounding area.
“We do not believe there is an increased safety risk to the public at this stage,” the statement added.
