Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis posted a heartfelt message on social media, for World Father’s Day.
As a new dad, he shared a photo with his followers of his three-year-old son, Dimitris, and wrote a touching message in the caption: “Dad. A shadow when you need it, a wind when you’re ready to fly. Happy Father’s Day to all dads!”.
However, he didn’t stop there; he also shared a humorous video in which he tried to paint his family on a canvas. “Okay, it’s not great, but that’s okay,” he can be heard saying as he reveals his drawing.
“Ever since I was little, I remember my parents saying, ‘You don’t have kids, so you don’t know,’ ‘When you have kids, you’ll understand.’ Years went by, and up until that moment, I couldn’t understand what any of the older folks meant. It’s not just about being a father, but about being a dad and going to pick up your little one from daycare, and the first thing he says to you is, ‘Where’s Mom?’ It’s the most beautiful thing, but also the most difficult and important thing in our lives. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads,” he can be heard saying.
