It’s Father’s Day today…
We’re celebrating the people who truly made us strong! I’m quoting from my father’s diary, about the first day he took me to school, in 1983: “[…] but you are strong, even though you’re still small, because you know how to swallow your sorrow so as not to upset your parents—or anyone else, for that matter…”
MANY HAPPY RETURNS to those who taught us to be “strong even though we’re small” and to “swallow our sorrow” so as not to upset “even others”… perhaps because they themselves were strong in the face of their own sorrow, and so they prepared us for both the true sorrows and the great joys that come when you no longer “still be a child”…
